Setting up sliding gallery in Vortex

The sliding gallery works by taking the featured image from posts in any chosen category (or one created for that purpose which you can call "slider") and then it displays that image in the sliding gallery along with a brief description which is taken from  the first couple of sentences of text from the post.

Note that the "featured image" is selected by using the "featured image" file browser from the post/page editor (right column toward bottom of the page). When you click "select featured image" it will take you to your media library (or upload new) where you can select whichever image you want to use for the featured image. For best display in the gallery slider use images of 430px X 320px. These will be cropped down to display nicely in the actual post as well without any need to upload a separate post image.

Please note that you need to have at least 2 posts in the slider category otherwise they will not rotate.
