This guide is for anyone that may need to know how to set up the download mechanism for the free eBook! The objective here is for you to collect names and email addresses of anyone that opts in for the eBook. Then you can follow up with the 5-part email series and hopefully get some responses and new clients. It's all a numbers game and works to the law of averages but I can tell you that the email series will get results as long as you have reasonable number of optins. You can set up an Aweber account but this can be costly at $29 per month. I use Mailchimp who have a free service if you have less than 2,000 people on your list and send less than 6,000 emails per month. Apart from that its a full featured service and at this stage I am still under the free threshold even though I have hundreds of people on my list and sending several thousand emails per month. OK... that said,- you need to have a means of creating a form through which site visitors will optin to get the eBook. The way you can deliver that is to create your form (that you will place on your site so when people click on the eBook they will be presented with your custom created optin form) and for that form you create a final welcome email which is sent as a default under a double optin system and in that final email you'd say something like: "Thanks for registering to receive my free eBook Getting More Internet Customers. You can >>download your eBook here<< (insert link there). I'll check back with you in a day or so to make sure you got the eBook downloaded Ok. Best Regards, YOUR NAME!" That way you will have a growing list of people that opted in to get the eBook (call your list "ebook optins" or something like that). Then you can set up your autoresponder sequence to deliver the follow up emails. I can't give you any instructions further than that but if you do go with Mailchimp or Aweber or any of the other major players they all have How-To videos that you can follow. The basic requirement though is very simple: 1) set up an optin form using your autoresponder 2) Link the ebook image to the optin form so that when people click the ebook image it opens the form 3) set up you email sequence in your autoresponder to send optin people to the ebook download link once they've opted in (final welcome email is the best one to put the download link into) 4) set up the 5 part email followup series in your autoresponder
