Restoring website after Base Site auto accidental overwrite

Solution

QUESTION: Is there anyway to restore the website with the local biz vortex custom theme. I overwrote the front page yesterday by pressing the "help, easy to create" button.

ANSWER: Actually you can restore this quite easily.

When the "base site" easy installer is used to create the new base site, all it does it create a bunch of pages (including *Privacy, *Legal, *Terms etc) and adds content to them.

Any previous pages you created will still be there, but now they may not appear in the menu bar because it was reset. You can go into wp-admin/appearance/menus and reset the pages that will appear in the header and footer menus.

Then,.. if say you had a previous page named "About" and it was overwritten, all you need to do is activation a page revision. Revisions panel with links to previous page versions (auto saves) are on the page editor at the bottom. Just select a page version that was active before you did the auto site activation and it will be restored back.

If you have any further difficulty with then you can submit a ticket for assistance.
